Make A Wish For Addi and Cassi Today

Dandelion-Final

Your support and encouragement helps us get through each day as we fight our battle against Niemann Pick Type C, the “Childhood Alzheimer’s.”  We read all messages posted to our family and while we may not be able to respond to each message, your messages are very touching.  Thank you to everyone around the world who has posted on our Wishes Board.

To Addie and Cassie, two beautiful little princesses…

I have seen firsthand the effects of adult Alzheimers (I lost my grandma 6 months ago) so I can only imagine the confusion, pain, fear and heartache that your family is going through right now…

There are no words that can take this “away” and no wishes that can change what you go through on a daily basis, but what I can say is that in a small town, in the middle of Illinois there is a family who will say a prayer each and every night for you… We will have you on our minds, and in our hearts as we go about our everyday activities.. Know that you are thought of, and loved by strangers who only know you by your beautiful faces off of a television screen.

What a wonderful set of parents you have- they love you so much and I can tell that they are truly blessed to have brought such little angels into this world..

Chin up beautiful girls- you have the world at your fingertips!

I was only in the next room over studying for my Anatomy test; when i hard on the TV about your girls, and i got up from what i was doing and started to watch the “DRs”. I was then so interested in finding out more about Niemann Pick Type C because i never heard of it until today. Your story touches me, and i just wanted to tell you that you and your family is in my Prayers and that i am sorry to hear about your girls. I also just found out after years and months of test being done, that my grandfather has a form of Alzhemimer’s called Frontotemporal dementia, so I know how it feels to find out that someone you love have something out there that there is currently no cure for. God Bless your family and those beautiful girls of yours.

I am watching you on the Drs show right now. My hope for these beautiful girls is that they live happy while they are here on earth. As we all know there is no cure, but one day there will be. I am so happy these girls have such wonderful and patient parents. My prayers go out to them and you.

Just saw your story on the Dr’s. While I do know a little about Alzheimer’s (both my grandmother and her brother, my uncle had it so it runs in my family). I up until now never knew that children can get it also . Both Addi and Cassi are absolutly beautiful children and nothing but my best wishes and hope for a cure go out to them!! It’s erk’s me that in this great country of are’s that we have a president that doesn’t believe in stem cell research which just might happen to save live’s. He spend’s trillion’s of are hard earned tax dollars on war and helping large companies keep from going bankrupt, but when it comes to spending our money on medical research that can saves thousand’s of people’s live’s he could’nt care less.
