Make A Wish For Addi and Cassi Today
Your support and encouragement helps us get through each day as we fight our battle against Niemann Pick Type C, the “Childhood Alzheimer’s.” We read all messages posted to our family and while we may not be able to respond to each message, your messages are very touching. Thank you to everyone around the world who has posted on our Wishes Board.
To My Sweet Peas:
While you read this, know that Aunti loves you. I pray and think of you both every day.
Aunti always knew there would be two of you; even before you were born. Mommy knows my thoughts.
Your Daddy called first thing to let us know you both were born and, as your Aunti, I was there to help you become strong and grow during your first year. I held you both with as much love as I could; helped bottle feed you; and held you close upon my chest for warmth, and to my heart, as well as humming the songs of childhood familiarlity; I wrapped you in warm blankets. I loved falling asleep in the “big chair” with the red afghan, just to stay put and make sure you were okay.
I have watched you both grow into terrific young girls, and your Aunti is grateful that you are in “my life.”
Knowlege is power. Your mommy and daddy are our heroes in the forefront of fighting this disease. We will continue the battle.

We have never met in person but we have followed your
development these past three plus years, thanks to your
very special Mom and Dad and Beverly Hempel who have
generously kept us informed with all those delightful
pictures!
Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you and
your Mom and Dad who have formulated a basis for the heartfelt wish that in the midst of their beautiful
efforts, the good Lord will find a way to not only spare your good health but rejuvenate you all in the
process.

I met your Mom and Dad years ago when we were all working at Netscape. It was a fun and exciting time and we were a great group of friends that enjoyed many memorable moments. Now we will all join together again to enable the two of you to live the happy lives that you deserve.
I know that Chris and Hugh will move mountains for you and all their friends will be here for you too.

I met some of your family at Sky Song. I don’t know many of you very well but I consider myself very lucky to have known John Hempel and still hanging out with Bev. I was very lucky to be able to have Grampa John share some photos and stories of the twinsies! It was such a wonderful thing to see his eyes light up whenever the subject came up(it came up often)! I send my prayers and thoughts for all of you and I know that somewhere Grampa John is watching and helping anyway he can. God Bless Carrie
I have known Grandpa John & Grandma Bev for over 30 years. John was a wonderful friend & he is missed by all of us. I am in constant touch with Bev & always ask about Addi & Cassi.
