Make A Wish For Addi and Cassi Today
Your support and encouragement helps us get through each day as we fight our battle against Niemann Pick Type C, the “Childhood Alzheimer’s.” We read all messages posted to our family and while we may not be able to respond to each message, your messages are very touching. Thank you to everyone around the world who has posted on our Wishes Board.

I am a friend of Grandma Bev Hempel and briefly knew Grandpa John Hempel. I have been praying for the two little angels every day as well as you (mom and dad), not only for strength but inner peace. We never fully understand things like this, but those two baby girls are going to touch lives in ways that words cannot express. You have truly been blessed! Addi and Cassi just know that Grandpa is watching over you every day.
I have known your Gramma Bev Hempel and did know your Grampa John Hempel for many years and am so sorry to hear about NP-C effecting your lives. You have my sincere best wishes, prayers and thoughts. I hope for progress toward a cure and that one will be found for you two. Love each other.
Joanie
Holding your family in prayer and spreading the word whereever I can.
My dearest Chris, Hugh, Addi and Cassi,
Just knowing the two of you – Chris and Hugh and how you surround yourselves around your precious babies makes me know that in time it will be okay. No one should have to experience the pain you are all going through, and it does break my heart. But as I’ve said before, you have been through challenges in the past, and we are all there with you to fight this major challenge with you! Just know in your heart you have all of us that love you and will be with you every step of the way. Please belive. My heart and prayers for all of you.
All my love,
Bernie
Listen Cassi & Addi,
My feverent wish is that one day you will fully realize the amount of love and prayers sent to you and your parents since they have discovered you have this disease. You will know then that all this love and support directly relates to the wonderful parents you have. You are actually two very lucky little girls, because if there is going to be anyone who helps to make sure you beat this disease, it will be your parents!
You and your parents are never far from our thoughts and prayers. You can definitely consider us part of your team! And besides, your mommy promised Luke that he’d be going on dates with you one day (and I’m going to hold her to that) so we all have to make sure you beat this thing.
Love to you all,
Carol, Todd and Luke
