My daughter is 25 and was just diagnosed with NPC. Now that we know what is going on, we realize she began displaying symptoms around 13-14 years old. It has progressed slowly but she now exhibits slurred speech, walking problems, slight tremors in her hands, and somewhat reduced cognitive thinking. I don’t see any stories from families with young adults having this disease. If anyone knows of any, would you please let me know?

I stumbled across a Nov 2008 issue of “The Scientist”, where Addi and Cassi were featured on the cover. I had never heard of NPC before, but I was completely moved by your story.
