Your support and encouragement helps us get through each day as we fight our battle against Niemann Pick Type C, the “Childhood Alzheimer’s.” We read all messages posted to our family and while we may not be able to respond to each message, your messages are very touching. I had never heard of this until today when I was looking at the dateline website. Your strength is really touching and it is amazing what you have accomplished in order to fight for your daughters. I wish you the best and will keep you in my prayers.
i lost my 16 year old son to side effects of juvenile diabetes. i will pray so hard for your precious twin daughters. they are beautiful and deserve the world. i pray they get their miracle. i am an RN working with children debiliated by all kinds of horrible debilitating diseases, but i do see miracles happen every day, may the lord be with you and yours.

You all in our prayers, and yes, miracles do happen! The medical field is making great advancements daily.
One way that might be possible to help-would a bone marrow transplant work? I know that all cells are produced in the marrow, and if a donor had the cells that were not affected by NPTC, the same type blood as the twins, overall a match to them-could this be a possibility? I did sign up to be a marrow donor, and I always felt that maybe the LORD Jesus would give me a chance to give back.
