I’m a sophomore in high school, so I take biology. This week we were assigned genetic disorders to research and discuss with our class. I was assigned Niemann-Pick Type C and through my research I came upon the story of your girls.
This has truly touched my heart. No person should ever have to go through this, let alone two innocent little girls. I know I’m just a teenager with no knowledge of raising children, but I admire you and your husband so much. I admire the strength you all show every day in keeping your daughters’ lives as normal as possible and the determination that it took to plow through medical documents to try and find a solution. I’ve only been doing this for two days and I’m already in overload, I can’t imagine how difficult it was for you two. I hope with all of my heart that your daughters improve from the new treatment, and you are all in my prayers.
