Dear Mr. and Mrs. Hempel,
As your beautiful daughters, Addi and Cassi, go through this experimental treatment, we will keep both of them and your family in our hearts and thoughts. Our son, Brian, died of Niemann Pick Type C in 1988 at the age of seven. It has always been our wildest dream that one day, in our lifetime, we would see the possibility of a viable treatment and cure for this disease.
