    Hey Addi and Cassi,

Ya’ll are two precious little girls. I heard about your story from one of my classmates. Your family is in my prayers. I plan on letting friends and family know about your website so we all can raise money to help find a cure. I wish you all the best. May God bless you and your family. The beautiful sun is shining down on you from where I am.

The Doctor’s program was very informative and hopefully, this is one more place to get out the word that a cure has to be found for this disease. Many of my friends ask about your beautiful daughters and Bryan and Laura’s often. They also are helping spread the word and the dollars.

I was watching the show The Doctors and all I have to say is “wow.” Hello addi, cassi and parents. I hope all is well. I’m writing in to let you know that I think that Addi and Cassi are wonderful, beautiful and amazing children. they are truly blessed to have parents like you guys.

by the way, let me introduce myself. My name is Brittney Welch. I live in Brooklyn NY and I was intrigued by the Addi and Cassi story. I was most interested in it for two reasons. I am a 20 year old college student studying child psychology and just last semester my professor was touching basis on the disease affecting your girls. another reason I was interested in the Addi and Cassi story is because just past June my grandmother passed away and suffered from dementia. It was tough for me and my family to deal with but we pushed through it to the very end.

Thank god for parents like Mr and Mrs. Hempel. Addi and Cassi are so lucky to have you two as parents. You both are very strong and deserving. My mom was telling me as we were watching the show that if should have a conversation with the pair of you she would tell you to never give up hope and that God works in mysterious ways. My parents know how it is to raise a child that is ill. When I was 8, I was diagnosed with encephalitis. Encephalitis is a rare form of the west nile virus, it is a terminal illness that caused me to loose all my motor skills. I was in a coma for a few weeks and when I woke up I had to learn how to walk, talk, and everything all over again at the age of 8. The doctors told my parents that I would never be the same again. They prayed every day, night and hour. Luckily I pulled through, but I’m scarred with a slight learning disability in math. Have faith Hempel family and know that teh Welch family has your family in our prayers. I have to get back to class. Have a blessed day, and till next time, god bless.
    Brittney
